Despite being little more than 2km in size, there’s more than enough to keep you amused in Monaco.

From the beach in Larvotto to the beautiful buildings of Monaco Town (also known as Le Rocher or The Rock), there’s something to suit all tastes.

The best way to get around is by bus – you can get a day ticket for €5.50 – unless you’ve packed your walking boots and enjoy steep hills in the hot sun.

1. Visit Monte-Carlo Casino

To see the whole building and take photos of its stunning chandeliers and artwork, visit in the morning from 10am.

Only a couple of rooms are open in the evening, when phones and cameras are banned.

Entry is €10 and you’re not allowed in without a photo ID such as your passport.
